1. What is Etsy?
If you click on the link to buy one of Isabelle Ferland's products, it will take you to another site called Etsy. Etsy is an online community and shopping site where artists sell their handmade products. Each artist has their own Etsy page, or personalized store, where they sell what they make. 2. Is it safe to buy products on the Etsy site?
Totally! Actually, Etsy is a world leader in the concept of buying handmade products online. Each month the site generates nearly half a million dollars in sales and not a single incidence of fraud has yet been detected. Thus you can be certain that those who run this marketplace keep a scrupulous eye open to make sure that every credit card transaction is completely secure.

3. Why must I sign up with Etsy to buy something? Is it free?

4. What is PayPal?
PayPal is an intermediary between the buyer and seller on the Etsy site and is used to facilitate every online credit card transaction. PayPal also keeps all your credit card information private, so that whenever you buy a product from Isabelle Ferland she will never see any of your credit card information.

5. In order to buy a product, is PayPal registration mandatory?
No. The company is just an intermediary, you will only be using PayPal automatically during the buying process while not being forced to register. At the page titled "PayPal is the secure way to make payments", just where it says "You don't have a PayPal account?", click on the blue link saying "Continue". Next page is where you enter your credit card info. On the next page, choose the option "continue without signing in" so you can complete the process without registering at PayPal.

6. Are transactions in Canadian dollars, Euros or British Pounds?
Neither. Everything is transacted in U.S. Dollars. The only place you'll see the final price in Canadian dollars is when you receive your credit card invoice once the transaction is complete. To make it easier for you while you shop, you can go on xe.com to convert the prices to whatever currency you like.
